I design and make Wedding gowns, corsets, bolero jackets, shrugs and wraps as a one to one service from my home based workroom in Truro. My designs can be customised with your choice of colour and embellishments of lace, crystals, beading, embroidery and handmade appliqué or flowers to produce a personalised wedding dress or corset. I will listen to your ideas and work with you to produce the perfect design which will be made to measure to ensure a flattering and comfortable fit. I can complete an ensemble with a bolero, shrug or simple corsage.
My designs are based on the choice of either a corset or a more lightly boned bodice. This can be combined with a skirt in a style you desire to make a complete gown. A corset can be used again for other occasions, even dressed down with jeans.
I can also help if you are simply looking for a corset, bolero or shrug to complete an outfit you already own. As an alternative to a corset I am happy to make dresses which may be embellished or kept simple for understated chic.
I offer a choice of fabrics, including a small selection of vintage fabrics. For the eco conscious, I can source silks that are organic as well as peace silk which is made by a process that is kind to silk worms.
I will also be happy to discuss incorporating into the design vintage fabrics, or recycled pre-loved garments of your own.
I have an HND in fashion design and specialist training in corsetry and bridal wear. I use couture and tailoring techniques with many hand finishes.
